FPV comparisons
Side-by-side comparisons built from manufacturer pages. Each one has a spec table, a compatibility table (which drones, air units and remotes work together) and the date we checked the figures. Where a manufacturer's own pages disagree, we show both and say which one we follow. These pages are researched; we haven't used the products.
Start here
- DJI Goggles 3 vs Goggles N3: specs side by side, a compatibility table built only from DJI pages, and a verdict by use case. Short version: Goggles 3 adds O3 Air Unit support, 100 Hz micro-OLED screens, diopters and Real View; N3 is the cheaper headset with one wider 54° screen that works over glasses, for O4-era gear only.
Coming next: DJI Neo 2 vs Avata 2 and DJI Avata 2 vs Avata 360. Radio comparisons live in the radios section, starting with RadioMaster Pocket vs Boxer.
Which video system first?
Goggles, air unit and camera belong to one video system, so choose the system before the goggles.
- DJI O4 (digital): DJI's O4 FAQ says "third-party flight goggles are not supported". Goggles 3 and N3 both work with the O4 Air Unit and O4 Air Unit Pro, paired with the FPV Remote Controller 3. DJI says the O4 Air Unit suits 2-inch and smaller frames and the O4 Pro 3-inch and up dji.com. Only Goggles 3 lists the older O3 Air Unit dji.com dji.com.
- Walksnail, HDZero and analog: DJI lists neither Goggles 3 nor N3 for these systems dji.com dji.com. In Betaflight, analog video transmitters are controlled over SmartAudio or Tramp, and digital systems use the "VTX (MSP + Displayport)" port setting; see Step 3 of our Betaflight setup guide. Not all video frequencies are legal in every region, so use only the bands and power levels allowed where you fly.
We'll add comparisons between video systems once each one has a page built from its own manufacturer's documentation.
Before you buy
DJI adds pairings through firmware, so update goggles, drone and remote before you pair. US buyers: the FCC Covered List (dated October 9, 2026; checked October 13, 2026) lists "Uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) and UAS critical components produced in a foreign country" (added December 22, 2025, with exceptions) and names no brand. Check fcc.gov and the retailer before you buy, and check the drone rules for where you fly. Seasonal prices are on our DJI Black Friday tracker.
