In short: you can read stickbench.com without an account and without giving us your name or email. Our hosting provider processes basic technical data to deliver the pages. Analytics cookies are set only if you agree. If you email us, we use your message to reply. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use advertising cookies.

Who is responsible

This website is operated by stickbench.com.

  • Data controller: the operator of stickbench.com
  • Privacy contact: contact@stickbench.com (for privacy requests too)

There are no accounts, payments, newsletters, comments or forms on stickbench.com. The only way to contact us is by email. If we add any of these, we'll update this policy first.

  • Your consent choice (strictly necessary): we save your choice in your browser's local storage under the key sb-consent, so we don't ask again on every page. It stays until you change it or clear your browser's site data. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4): loaded and set only after you click "Accept". If you click "Reject" or ignore the banner, Google Analytics doesn't load and no analytics cookies are set. Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses (Google Analytics Help, checked October 13, 2026). Google Analytics isn't active on stickbench.com yet. We may add it later; it will only ever load after you accept, and we'll update this policy with its settings before it goes live.
  • Hosting and security (Cloudflare): our host, Cloudflare, processes technical request data to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks and bots. When its security features are active, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies on stickbench.com (for example __cf_bm, used for bot detection). Cloudflare lists these cookies on its cookie policy page (checked October 13, 2026).
  • No advertising cookies. stickbench.com doesn't show ads and doesn't set advertising cookies.
  • No third-party fonts or videos. Our fonts are hosted on stickbench.com itself (no Google Fonts), and we don't embed YouTube or other video players.

Changing your mind: you can change or withdraw consent at any time with the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser.

International transfers

Our providers (Cloudflare, and Google if analytics is enabled) may process data outside the UK and the EU, including in the United States, under the safeguards they publish in their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

  • Analytics data: none today, because analytics isn't active. If we add it, we'll state the retention period here first.
  • Emails: we keep emails only as long as needed to answer them, and then delete them.
  • Hosting logs: according to Cloudflare's own retention. We don't keep separate server logs.

Our pages link to manufacturers and stores. Once we join affiliate programmes, some of these links will be affiliate links (see our Affiliate disclosure). When you click through, the store's own privacy policy and cookies apply on its site. We don't receive your name or payment details from stores.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU or the UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have it corrected or deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier use.

To use these rights, email contact@stickbench.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in the EU it is the authority in your country.

US readers: we don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children

Stickbench is written for hobbyists and isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we add a tool or change how we use data, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date. We'll make significant changes clear at the top of the page.
